DJ La Trice performed for the highly anticipated first annual FemAle Brewfest at the F.A.T. Village arts district in Ft. Lauderdale on Sunday. The festival highlighted women in the brewing industry by showcasing beer, culinary treats, restaurants, apparel, music and other goods from female-owned vendors nationwide. There was also media coverage from local photographers, Telemundo, 102.7 The Beach radio among others.
La Trice started the event with funky House remixes of popular 80s and 90s songs and got the people dancing, jumping, and singing along as she led them with more of the same but later to Techno and Tech House beats. The energy was so surprising and the feedback from the attendees was so positive, that she was asked to play as the headlining DJ at the next year’s festival.
The music didn’t stop there. Alongside La Trice was also a musical performance by a Miami favorite songstress Chloe Dolandis singing original music and covers of crowd favorites in her own mesmerizing style. Also playing live and hailing all the way from Amsterdam was the three member band Hypergoods that kept the crowd moving with their electronic sound and Cranberry-esque vocal styling.
